Privacy policy

What the site collects

We do not ask you for personal information. The site has no accounts, no forms, no newsletter and no comments. We do not ask for your name, and we never sell or share the email addresses people send us.

If you email us, we receive your email address and whatever you write. We use it to read and answer your message and to fix mistakes on the site. We do not add you to any list.

The site is hosted on Cloudflare Pages. Like any web host, Cloudflare handles your device’s IP address and basic request details when your browser loads a page.

The scorekeeper

The phone scorekeeper on game pages saves your game in your browser’s local storage, on your own device, so the game survives a reload. It never leaves your device and we cannot see it. Clearing your site data in your browser deletes it.

Visitor statistics

We use Cloudflare Web Analytics to count visits and see which pages are read. It does not use cookies and does not track people across sites. We use the totals to decide which pages to improve.

Advertising and cookies

The site shows ads from Google AdSense. Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on a visitor’s prior visits to this and other websites. Google’s advertising cookies let it and its partners serve ads to you based on your visits to this site and other sites on the internet.

You can opt out of personalized advertising in Google’s Ads Settings at https://adssettings.google.com. You can also opt out of many third-party vendors’ use of cookies for personalized advertising at https://optout.aboutads.info and https://optout.networkadvertising.org.

If you are in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom or Switzerland, a consent message from Google asks whether ads and cookies may be used before any ad is shown. Amazon links

Game pages have a What you need box with links to search results on Amazon. As an Amazon Associate, we earn from qualifying purchases. When you follow one of these links, Amazon may set cookies on your device. Children

The site is meant for a general audience and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has sent us personal information, email us and we will delete it.

Your choices

• Opt out of personalized ads with the Google, Digital Advertising Alliance and Network Advertising Initiative links above.
• Block or delete cookies in your browser settings. The site still works without them.
• Delete a saved scorekeeper game by clearing the site’s data in your browser.
• Ask us to delete an email you sent us by writing to us.

Your rights and how long we keep things

We hold very little about you. The only information we keep is an email you send us, together with our reply. We keep it for as long as we need it to answer you and fix a mistake you point out, and then delete it.

You can ask us what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Depending on where you live, the law may also give you the right to object to how your information is used or to complain to a data protection authority. Write to us and we will answer within 30 days.

The advertising and statistics services named above handle their own data under their own policies, and you can use the choices listed in the section before this one.

Changes to this policy

When we change this policy, we post the new version on this page and update the date at the top.
